BIOGRAPHY

Alyssa is a passionate storyteller, community advocate, and strategic communicator dedicated to harnessing the power of narrative to drive progress and foster shared understanding. She believes intentional, purpose-driven storytelling can connect people, challenge the status quo, and drive lasting impact — and she does just that as Invest STL’s Narrative + Communications Lead.

In this role, Alyssa leads all communications and storytelling efforts, working alongside colleagues, community members, and partners to reshape prevailing narratives and empower residents to share their own stories. With nearly a decade of experience in integrated corporate and executive reputation management, she specializes in media relations, thought leadership, content strategy, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement — expertise she leverages to elevate Invest STL’s mission and vision, amplify community voices, and advance equity.

Before joining Invest STL, Alyssa spent several years at FleishmanHillard, a global PR and marketing agency, where she played key leadership roles on accounts for Johnson & Johnson, Nike, Edward Jones, Emerson, and Gatorade. She currently serves on the Girls on the Run St. Louis Board of Directors and coaches a team twice a year.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Alyssa is deeply committed to fostering meaningful, just change in the region and scaling that impact nationwide. She is driven by the belief that words shape reality and that reframing narratives is a critical step toward systemic transformation.

A self-proclaimed lifelong learner, Alyssa is passionate about sports — especially women’s sports — holistic wellness, writing, yoga, delicious coffee, and making a difference. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish from Webster University and was recognized as a 2023 PRNews Top Women in PR in the Rising Star category.
